What the studies actually found
Centella asiatica, studied over 12 weeks
In a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 112 middle-aged women, oral Centella asiatica extract at 200 mg a day was associated with reductions in wrinkle-related measures and in transepidermal water loss, a marker of barrier function. The authors described the changes in hydration, elasticity and brightness as modest and limited in magnitude. Worth noting: this trial used an oral extract, not a topical serum.

Peptide research is early, and small
A 28-day study of 49 adults with wrinkle concerns reported that a cream containing the HY-1 peptide conjugate was associated with dermatologist-assessed improvements in firmness and wrinkle appearance, alongside antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity measured in vitro. It is a small, short study, so we read it as an early signal rather than a settled result.
